Job Description

Our Store Managers are responsible for providing the highest level of customer service, and ensuring that our customers have an excellent experience while at the Christopher & Banks store. Store Managers are responsible for store's performance; driving store sales in and outside the store; communicating effectively with district manager, associates, clients, operations and merchants. leading the day to day activities and operations of the store including customer service, associate hiring, training, merchandising, and visual presentation.Â

Required Skills
· Regular and punctual attendance for all scheduled work hours.
· Provides outstanding customer service with emphasis on building client relationships. Leads by example.
· Recruits, interviews and hires qualified associates based on anticipated needs.
· Trains associates selling techniques, register procedures, visual skills, product knowledge, housekeeping, etc.
· Builds teamwork among associates.
· Coaches associates on a regular basis. Reviews associates according to company guidelines. Completes documentation procedures efficiently.
· Resolves customer and associate issues quickly and effectively.
· Implements floor moves, sale set- ups, etc. in a timely manner utilizing directives from merchants and district managers. Maintains company visual presentation standards.
· Creates in store and out of store events which drive sales and support community involvement.
· Implements and monitors all store operation procedures to control inventory.
· Operates register and information systems with proficiency ensuring associates are competent with all of the necessary procedures.
· Engages clients with the 'Awards' program and monitors Customer Relationship Management System.
· Communicates regularly with District Manager.
· Trains/prepares Assistant Manager for management position.
· Ensures that all corporate office memos and instructions are read, properly implemented and filed within the given time frame.
· Monitors individual and storeâ's statistics. Works towards achieving individual and store goals.
· Knows and complies with all Company security procedures.
· Provides District Manager with ways to continually improve business.
· Acts as the organizationâ€TMs local ambassador for community involvement.
· Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Required Experience
· Expertise in customer service and selling.
· Prior retail management experience preferably in the women's clothing industry.
· Prior retail selling experience.
· Ability to perform several tasks concurrently with ease and professionalism.
· Time management skills.
· Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and use equipment such as hammers, ladders, merchandising hardware and two-wheelers, etc.
· Willingness to work flexible schedules including nights and weekends, Sunday night floorsets, before/after store hour meetings.
· Ability to make decisions in the best interest of business.
· Ability to perform as a contributing member of the team.
· Basic computer and e-mail skills.
· Strong communication skills.
