Specialist:
· Applies developed subject matter knowledge to solve common and complex business issues within established guidelines and recommends appropriate alternatives.

Qualifications
Position Prerequisites:Current valid license as a Registered Nurse in Oklahoma is mandatory. Two years full time professional clinical experience in an acute care setting preferred. Preference may be given to those with experience in medical authorization, Medicaid, and/or case management/utilization review. Good communication skills, written and verbal, required. Housed with our client in Oklahoma City, in the Medical Authorization/Care Management Unit, no exception. Ability to make decisions regarding medical necessity, cost effectiveness, and quality of care. Ability to perform surveillance and utilization review of providers and recipients. Ability to assist with establishing and modifying policies and guidelines related to standards of medical care.
