Description

Position Summary:
The Director of Hospitality Service administers all aspects of food, nutrition, and housekeeping services programs, develops budgets, business, and operational plans to efficiently conduct the food and nutrition services operation, and negotiates vendor contracts and establishes purchasing programs in conjunction with INTEGRIS policy guidelines. This position has responsibility for multiple facilities in the Metro area. Adheres to National Patient Safety Goals as appropriate based on the level of patient contact this position requires.

Essential Functions:
The Director Hospitality Service responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
· Implementation of systems, processes and policies to ensure consistent standards and protocol relating to management facility and retail hospitality services.
· Analyzes departmental performance and position statements, financial reports and other performance records to determine relationships to forecasts and objectives
· Conducts investigations concerning new equipment/specifications to meet requisitioning requirements, and concerning improvements in existing equipment to reduce costs
· Appraises pricing and reimbursement methods and practices in relation to costs and industry pricing policies and practices
· Analyzes periodic accounting statements of activities, financial status, inventories and results to detect opportunities for improvement
· Prepares business plans for administrative review in relation to new products, procedures or business opportunities
· Plans for personnel development, including leadership development and training with respect to new developments, techniques, materials, equipment and management
· Plans and schedules preventive maintenance and safety inspections, replacement of parts and simulated operations to assure governmental efficiency and safety standards
· Collaborates with clinical management staff regarding provision of dietary and housekeeping services for their patient care areas.
· Ensures department staff are managed effectively, including hiring, training, evaluating performance and competency, and conducting disciplinary/counseling sessions as needed
· Provides planning support for other INTEGRIS facilities, as requested including business plan development, service standards, operational efficiency, and programming for assigned areas of responsibility
· Provides vision, leadership and direction for services to ensure continuous improvement focus on customer and patient satisfaction

Accountability:
The Director Hospitality Services reports to the Vice President.
IV. Qualifications:
· Bachelors degree in Food, Nutrition or Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional management or related field
· Certification by Oklahoma County Health Department as Certified Food Service Operator upon or within 90 days of hire and re-certification every three years
· 5 years of experience in Food Service management in a hospital or school of equal size and scope
· Masters degree in Business Administration and/or related Nutrition Administration courses preferred
· Registration by the American Dietetic Association preferred
· Professional qualifying experience, such as internship, coordinated undergraduate program, 6-month planned experience and successful completion of national registration exam preferred
· Current Oklahoma Dietitian license preferred
