Staff Development Coordinator - Registered Nurse, RN

Description

Celebrate Caring at Forest Hills Care and Rehabilitation Center, an affiliated center of SunBridge Healthcare and a leader in long term and rehabilitative healthcare. We have an opportunity for a Staff Development Coordinator, RN, at our facility in Oklahoma City.
This position includes staffing, education, instruction (coaching and mentoring Unit Managers), orientation, as well as, clinical responsibilities in quality assurance programming and infection control.
You will be responsible for planning, organizing and directing all facility orientation and in-service education in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern the facility and it's programs, and as may be directed by the Administrator and the Director of Nursing Services, to ensure that employees are adequately trained in order to provide the highest degree of quality care.

Requirements
·  Current Registered Nurse license in state of employment
·  Previous experience in direct care in a long-term care environment.
·  Previous supervisory experience.
·  Previous experience in adult education and training preferred.
·  Must have advanced training in infection control procedures.
·  Knowledgeable of general, rehabilitative and restorative nursing and medical practices, procedures, laws, regulations and guidelines governing long-term care.
